Western MA Readers' Advisory Round Table In-Person

Advising readers on their next book is one of the most intimidating and exhilarating aspects of library work. Helping readers with their reading needs builds an ongoing and treasured relationship between library staff and their users. Readers’ Advisory (RA) is a skill that grows over time and with practice. This roundtable explores reading genres, their appeal for readers, and expands our knowledge and awareness of authors and titles in the genres.

Genre: Diverse Fiction - Mystery

Benchmark:  Detective Elouise Norton books by Rachel Howzell Hall

Our next RART-W genre study is looking at various fiction genres through the lens of diversity.

Please read a 2nd title in the Diverse Mystery genre. Look on the blog for a list of links to suggested titles, and make sure to add your second title to the blog posts.

For a more detailed description and full schedule of the genre studies, check out: http://raroundtablewestma.wordpress.com/
