Run with Scissors: Library Hacks and Creative Problem-Solving for You and Your Patrons In-Person
If you have ever solved a library problem using duct tape or dental floss, this hands-on workshop may be for you. Participants will learn a wide variety of tips and tricks for making library life easier and more fun, for both library staff and patrons. From organization and storage to tech shortcuts, tips will cover all aspects of the library world with a focus on the creative problem solving skills behind successful hacks.
This workshop supports the current MLS Strategic Plan goals of Future Readiness and Co-Creator Culture through a focus on collaborative problem-solving, sustainability, and a stronger MA library community. Attendees will have the opportunity to contribute to a co-created guide on library hacks for all MA librarians. This workshop is appropriate for all levels and type of staff.
Come for the morning session, “Get STEAMed: the how and why of adding STEAM to your library”, and bring a lunch. Be sure to register separately for both programs.
