Description
Are you interested in new approached to Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities & Threats (SWOT) analysis?
In this session we will reimagine data collection and interpretation for strategic insights. Leverage non-traditional data sets and emerging technologies such as Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting, sentiment scores and AI financial transcript mining techniques.
For example, ESG reporting provides organizational performance metrics that extend beyond traditional financial indicators. Social sentiment scores offer additional insights into organizational perception, brand resilience, and potential strategic vulnerabilities. AI-powered financial transcript mining techniques uncover patterns and strategic implications that conventional analysis might overlook.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the webinar, the participants will be able to:
- Explain sources of ESG data sets and applications for strategic analysis
- Describe sentiment data and its use cases for SWOT
- Apply transcript mining techniques using AI tools
Who Should Attend
Academic librarians, corporate and research librarians, public librarians, government librarians, and students who conduct business research will find this a useful complement to traditional SWOT research techniques.
Presenter
Michele Costello, is an Assistant Professor and Business Librarian at Baruch College of The City University of New York.
