Description
Leading a library in today’s complex landscape presents unique challenges, including political dynamics, budget constraints, and the lingering effects of the pandemic on mental health. In their efforts to create safe and healthy environments for their teams, library leaders often find themselves stretched thin and in need of strategies to enhance their own well-being. This raises an important question: how can they prioritize self-care while supporting others? In this webinar, I will explore how academic library leaders have successfully integrated mindfulness practices into their daily routines, creating better work/life balances. Join me to discover how mindfulness can empower you to navigate challenges.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the webinar, attendees will:
- Enhance their mindfulness practices by gaining practical mindfulness techniques that they can integrate into their daily routines.
- Improve their work/life balance by learning how to implement mindfulness practices in their leadership roles.
- Strengthen organizational culture by adopting mindfulness techniques that will help promote a positive organizational culture within their libraries
Who Should Attend
This session is designed for audience members at any level of leadership or library type, and they will learn practical mindfulness techniques that can be adapted for personal use and added to their leadership toolkit, promoting both individual well-being and a positive organizational culture.
