Creative Writing for All: Crafting a Community-Based Writing Group Online

Description:

Academic creative writing circles can inspire the design of accessible library programs that support local writers. This webinar will discuss the importance of creative writing and share a sample meeting framework. Learn how to run writing workshops using elements of college-level creative writing courses adapted for writers of all ages.

As a result of participating in this webinar, participants will be able to:   

  • Describe the benefits of a creative writing community 
  • Facilitate their own writing workshop meetings in the library 
  • Identify important processes necessary to run their own writing programs
