Time Management and Prioritization for Library Workers (LibraryWorks Webinar) Online

The Massachusetts Library System is pleased to announce that we are working with LibraryWorks to provide our members with access to their webinars.  These webinars are free to Massachusetts library workers who register through our calendar.

Description:

Library workers have many internal and external demands on their time. How can we improve efficiencies, create better processes and policies, and improve our own attitudes toward our time? This webinar provides tech and non-tech solutions for getting through your to-do list. With an emphasis on prioritization, this webinar will teach you proven time management techniques.

Following this webinar, attendees will:

  • Learn to deal with digital distractions

  • Learn strategies and suggestions for prioritizing tasks

  • Discuss the effects of procrastination

  • Identify best practices for efficient meetings


Presenter:

Carrie Rogers worked a decade in public libraries and was named the 2013 Utah Librarian of the Year for her work. After leaving libraries, she founded Digital Respons-Ability, a mission-based company that works with educators, parents, and students to teach digital citizenship, the ethical and responsible use of technology. Her company provides training to tens of thousands of students, parents, and educators with state and federal contracts across the world. Carrie is the author of eight books, with more in production. She was named to ALA's 2021 Outstanding Reference Sources List for her title Serving Teens and Adults on the Autism Spectrum: A Guide for Libraries. She is currently editing an academic series with Bloomsbury on digital citizenship for libraries and schools. Carrie lives in Utah with her family.
