Out of this World Summer Library Programs In-Person
The 2019 summer season is just around the corner and we want to help make your library’s program “out of this world!” We will help you dive into the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) manual, highlighting hidden gems and fabulous resources including out-of-the-box programs for the time-strapped and budget-savvy (with hands-on fun!) We’ll also look at summer library programs from a higher altitude, discussing ways to set goals, expand marketing, and increase participation. With plenty of time for sharing and discussion there is sure to be something for everyone in this “Universe of Stories”.
This workshop is intended for any library staff working on a summer library program, at any service level (youth, teen, adult.) This workshop supports the MLS Strategic Plan goal of co-creator culture and addresses the themes of core services, social justice, and a strong Massachusetts library community.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will set at least one Summer Library Program related goal;
- Participants will be able to implement new ideas for marketing their Summer Library Program;
- Participants will leave with several programming ideas to use for “A Universe of Stories".
