How to Create Surveys that Generate Useful Data

How to Create Surveys that Generate Useful Data

Come join us to learn about best practices in survey design including how to get input from your community and effective strategies to reach non-users. This workshop will help you draft and distribute surveys and analyze raw data in meaningful ways. We’ll also discuss when not to use a survey (and what to use instead). Please bring a laptop as we will explore three options for free online survey tools and draft a survey during the session.

Following the workshop, you will be able to:

  • Develop an effective survey for strategic planning and project/program evaluation.
  • Select and use a free online tool for survey distribution.
  • Distill actionable information from surveys to support continuous improvement.

Presented by Michelle Eberle, MLS Consultant

This workshop contributes to the MLS Strategic Plan goals of future-readiness, assessment/advocacy, and cultivating a strong Massachusetts library community.

Join us for the afternoon workshop, too!
Strategies and Techniques to Foster Inclusion of Patrons with Disabilities

Please register separately for both programs. We’ll break for an hour in between the morning and afternoon workshops. Bring your lunch or enjoy the local cuisine.
