Join the Reader’s Advisory Round Table – West genre study for a discussion of culinary memoirs to expand our understanding of narrative nonfiction.  We will explore this subgenre, meet new titles (and recipes), and discuss how to use them to meet the reading needs of our users.  We are meeting via jitsi to talk about the appeal of these titles, the readers who may enjoy them, and ways to incorporate them into our readers’ advisory services.  Our benchmark title for this session is World Travel by Anthony Bourdain.  In our format, we all read the benchmark, then a second title in the genre as our individual choice.  Our discussion includes our reactions and thoughts on the benchmark title, perceptions on our individual selections, and their shared characteristics.
