SUMMARY:Readers’ Advisory Basics
DESCRIPTION:Description\n\nReaders’ advisory is more than recommending 
 popular books. This workshop will show how readers' advisory connects to 
 reference work. Participants will learn important terms\, helpful tools\, 
 and ways to adjust the reference interview. By the end\, they will 
 understand readers' advisory basics\, boosting staff confidence and 
 improving patron service.\n\nLearning Outcomes\n\nAs a result of this 
 workshop\, participants will be able to:\n1.    Identify the key terms of 
 readers’ advisory. \n2.    Use reader's advisory concepts to describe a 
 popular work.\n \n\n\nHow will I be participating?\n\nDuring this in-person 
 workshop\, expect frequent\, active participation for maximum impact! 
 Collaborate with peers through the use of breakout groups and hands-on 
 activities.\n\n\nLocation\n\nThis workshop will be held IN PERSON at the 
 MLS office in Northampton\, located at 241-243 King Street\, Suite 250 
 Northampton\, MA 01060. Parking is free and
