SUMMARY:Messaging to Build Support (Webinar)
DESCRIPTION:About the Building Support for Library Series \n\nMassachusetts
Library System (MLS)\, in collaboration with the Massachusetts Library
Association (MLA) Legislative Committee\, is excited to share a special
selection of EveryLibrary webinars with our members. \n\nThese webinars and
follow-up community chats are designed to strengthen skills in
communication\, funding strategies\, and community engagement that help
libraries thrive. Each webinar introduces strategies from national
experts\, followed by a community chat where members can revisit the
content\, ask questions\, and explore how to apply these ideas locally.
Together\, the series offers expert guidance and space for peer
connection\, supporting healthy\, vibrant libraries across the
 Commonwealth.\n\n\nDescription:\n\nImproving your marketing strategy
requires an in-depth understanding of your target audience and compelling
messaging. This session will give you the tools to create effective library
communication strategies. Through this session\, you will gain insight into
the dynamics of library funding and learn about national research on public
perceptions of libraries and librarianship. You can tailor your messages to
resonate with different demographic groups by leveraging these insights.
Additionally\, the webinar will equip you with techniques to engage various
stakeholders\, ranging from educational entities to media outlets. You will
also be introduced to the “27-9-3 Message Environment” framework\,
designed to help you craft concise and impactful messaging.\n\nThis webinar
will be recorded and posted on the MLS Vimeo Page. \n\n\nPresenter\n\nJohn
