DESCRIPTION:The Massachusetts Library System is pleased to announce that we 
 are working with LibraryWorks to provide our members with access to their 
 webinars.  These webinars are free to Massachusetts library workers who 
 register through our calendar. \n\n\n	Please note: To attend these webinars 
 at no cost\, you must register here. If you register directly with 
 LibraryWorks\, your registration will not be paid by MLS. \n	Please help us

 Does it truly address their needs? This session will look critically at 
 many types of library signs and review their positive and negative aspects. 
 We will discuss how to conduct a signage audit\, and cover the importance 
 of library branding. This session also addresses customer service issues 
 related to signage.\n\n\n\nFollowing this webinar\, you will know how 
 to:\n\n\n	Critically evaluate library signage\, considering the patrons' 
 POV\n	Identify common signage mistakes\n	Conduct a signage audit for 
 clarity\, consistency\, and effectiveness\n	Understand how signage serves 
 as an extension of library branding\, and why consistent messaging is 
 crucial\n	Recognize signage’s role in addressing patron needs and hear 
 how it can be used to enhance service\n	Apply best practices for creating 
 effective signage\n	Use online tools and resources to help improve your own 
 signage\n\n\n \n\n\nPresenter:\n\nDr. Curtis Rogers is a library consultant 
 with over 35 years of experience in the library and information science 
 field. He has worked at Union Carnegie Library and Charleston County Public 
 Library\, and he retired as Communications Director of the South Carolina 
 State Library. He has taught at the University of South Carolina's School 
 of Library and Information Science. Dr. Rogers holds a B.A. in Geography\, 
 an M.L.I.S.\, and a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from USC. He 
 has served in leadership roles with the SC Library Association\, the 
 Library Marketing and Communications Conference\, and ALA Core Library 
 Consultants group.\n\n\n\n
