how they can create inclusive and welcoming environments by applying an EDI
lens to HR decisions while also covering how to navigate various HR
 laws.\n\n\n\nEvent Outline\n\n\n	Session 1: Laying the
 Foundation\n\n	\n Creating a job description\n Developing strong policies
\n Navigating legal issues and HR laws to know\n	\n	\n	Session 2: Getting
& Keeping Staff\n	\n How to hire staff\, including crafting interview
questions \n How to successfully onboard and train staff\n How to provide
ongoing feedback and annual evaluation of staff\n	\n	\n	Session 3: Saying
Goodbye\n	\n When and how to discipline an employee\n Handling a
termination \n Prepare for the future with succession
 planning\n	\n	\n\n\n\n\nPresenters\n\nKathy Parker is a retired library
director\, now library consultant\, who does work as an interim director
