HR Series: Master the Interview Online

Inside this highly interactive workshop, participants will learn to develop behavioral-based questioning strategies to uncover hidden talents of job candidates, while successfully navigating legal requirements.

Through facilitator-led instruction, partnered exercises, group discussion, hands-on interview question development, role play, and practice using candidate evaluation tools, Master the Interview participants will dev lop techniques to successfully prepare and deliver an interview designed to land the ideal candidate.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Define legal obligations for individuals involved in the hiring process
  • Distinguish the difference between legal and illegal questions Identify and define competencies associated with the job
  • Develop behavioral-based interview questions focused on job-related competencies
  • Conduct an interview leveraging behavioral-based questions while remaining legally compliant Evaluate candidate viability objectively using standardized evaluation tools

Intended Audience: 

This workshop is intended for current managers and supervisors.

Facilitator Bio:

Kevin Joly joined EANE in January of 2023 and has experience in both operations and Human Resources from a variety of industries including Retail, Manufacturing, and Staffing. He has experience working as a one-person HR department as well as a member of a corporate HR team. These experiences have given him experience in a variety of areas in the HR field including recruiting, training, employee relations, safety, payroll and benefits administration.  

Kevin joined EANE as an HR Business Partner and has expanded his expertise and recently transitioned into the Member Services HR Coordinator Role. He works with the HR team, Learning and Development staff, and the Member Services team to help assess and deliver the information, services, and training programs our members are asking for as we continue to meet their evolving needs. Additionally, Kevin assists members with HR projects, hotline, conducts training programs and creates new content and resources for EANE members.

Kevin has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and his Senior Professional HR Certification.


How will I be participating?

During this live virtual workshop, expect frequent, active participation for maximum impact!

Collaborate with peers through the use of breakout rooms and other digital tools. Microphones and cameras are essential for full participation. Please note, sessions will not be recorded.
