Interlibrary Loan User Group
Join the Massachusetts Library System and Boston Public Library ILL teams to discuss the latest developments in interlibrary loan. We’ll be covering the inner workings of the BPL’s ILLiad site, as well as Clio in the Cloud, including an upcoming enhancement to the Clio request form. There’s also the new MLS ILL Policy to discuss, recently approved by the Board (available at http://guides.masslibsystem.org/ill). And we’re recruiting members for an exciting new task force, dedicated to exploring innovative ways of increasing resource sharing in the Commonwealth. Bring us your questions and concerns, and take this opportunity to meet with ILL staff from other Mass libraries. We hope to see you soon as we travel across the state!
For those attending this ILL user group meeting, we’d like to offer some tips and suggestions on travel, parking, and dining.
Attendees of the ILL user group meeting in Boston will have the opportunity to tour the Boston Public Library at the conclusion of the meeting. ILL staff will be pleased to show you the renovated Johnson Building, which, if you haven’t seen it yet, should not be missed!
If you are coming by car, the BPL’s street address is 700 Boylston Street, Boston 02116 for your GPS. Parking garages in the vicinity can be found on this map. Coming via MBTA? (Good for you.). If it’s your first time, download the T’s In Transit app or use the Trip Planner on the T website. The BPL is closest to the Copley Square stop on the Green Line or the Back Bay station for the Orange Line and commuter rail.
Once you’re here, there are three options for coffee or lunch right in the BPL and many more in the Back Bay neighborhood. The meeting will be in the Orientation Room on the first floor of the McKim Building. The easiest way to get there is to use the Dartmouth Street entrance, opposite Trinity Church and Copley Square.
