Libraries and their Critical Role Serving Immigrant Communities (webinar) In-Person
US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is the U.S. Government’s branch responsible for providing immigration services such as employment authorization, lawful permanent residency (green cards), and U.S. citizenship. A USCIS community relations officer will offer suggestions about how to refer library patrons needing immigration information to qualified immigration service providers. Using examples from other libraries, USCIS will also offer suggestions about how libraries can offer resources and services to immigrants.
For a preview see: https://www.uscis.gov/citizenship/organizations/libraries.
Note that libraries are welcome to order a free USCIS Civics and Citizenship Toolkit for their reference collection of materials assisting immigrants:

Presenter: Ted Albers, USCIS Northeast Regional Community Relations Officer
John McCarthy, from the Boston office of USCIS, will also join us to highlight USCIS resources and support for Massachusetts libraries.
