The Massachusetts Library System is collaborating with the Employers Association of the NorthEast to bring HR related trainings to our members. Join us for a series of “Lunch & Learn” virtual chats with EANE staff members on a variety of HR topics. The sessions will take place in a 30/30 format: 30 minutes of content followed by 30 minutes of discussion.  

The Baby Boomer generation is leaving the workforce due to retirements. The Gen X’ers are a much smaller pool of candidates to fill these open positions! Combine that with major demographic shifts in New England that have people leaving the region for southern and western states and you can easily see that we have a workforce issue here in the Northeast. Join us as we discuss how organizations should be preparing their workforce plans today using succession planning strategies that include things like environmental scans, position evaluations and competency measures.  

Facilitator bio: 
Allison Ebner has over 20 years of experience in human resources, recruitment and corporate branding including talent acquisition and retention, employee engagement and team building, and labor trends and compliance.

Allison is the Past President and current board member for the Human Resource Management Association (HRMA) of Western New England, the communications chair and board member for the Massachusetts State SHRM Chapter, Trustee for the Mason Wright Foundation, board member for the ERC5 Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Legislative Steering Committee for the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce.

Allison is a graduate of Ithaca College in New York where she received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and is currently an IOM candidate with the Institute for Organization Management.
