Make It Count: Maximizing Library Instruction Opportunities Online
Teaching within the confines of occasional “one shot” opportunities can be frustrating. How can we leverage collaboration and instructional design to use the time we do have to connect with students and create engaging, effective learning? This workshop is for school and academic librarians who teach information literacy and want to maximize impact in their instructional contexts.
As a result of this workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Develop one immediately actionable strategy and one long-term plan for creating effective instructional collaborations.
2. Select and discuss one instructional design strategy that can maximize the effectiveness of their library instruction.
How will I be participating?
During this live virtual workshop, expect frequent, active participation for maximum impact!
Collaborate with peers through the use of breakout rooms and other digital tools. Microphones and cameras are essential for full participation. Please note, sessions will not be recorded.
