Community Chat: Intellectual Freedom Online
All library staff are invited to this ad hoc Community Chat on intellectual freedom topics. Frequency of the chat, and topics covered, will be determined based on MLS member need. If you have a topic you would like to discuss please email Christi at christif@masslibsystem.org.
Intellectual Freedom Community Chats will not be recorded.
The first Intellectual Freedom Chat will focus on anti-LGBTQIA+ protests, pushback, and rhetoric surrounding library collections and programming. Along with MLA's Intellectual Freedom/Social Responsibility Committee, MLS Consultants will facilitate a discussion to help attendees better understand the current landscape and to brainstorm approaches for supporting staff and patrons.
Location
This community chat will be held virtually via Zoom.
A reminder email with the login link will be sent to all registrants 24 hours before the start of the program.
- If you did not receive the reminder email, please check your spam folder as it may be filtered there.
- If you do not find the email, please contact info@masslibsystem.org.
