In this workshop-style webinar, you will learn basic skills in Canva, the popular web-based platform that companies and organizations use for design and marketing. You will learn how to format your designs according to design type and learn skills and design principles that help you develop a design for print and digital media. You will also learn tips in stock photography and basic image editing. This training session is ideal is ideal for beginner-intermediate.

You will learn how to:

• Utilize the free resources and edit existing templates in Canva
• Develop understanding of formatting design for various platforms
• Design from a blank canvas

Presenter:

Jennifer Blair is the Head of User Services Librarian and Associate Professor at Azusa Pacific University (APU). Her role is dedicated to the user experience, including marketing the library, and teaching. She has extensive experience teaching online courses in design and library science. Jennifer holds a B.A. in Graphic Design, an M.A in Educational Multimedia, and an M.S. in Library and Information Studies. Her experience in academic and public libraries as well as work experience in art and design allow her to employ visionary strategies to enrich progress and enhance advancement for students.
