Artificial Intelligence Literacy (AIL) in Libraries: From Frameworks to Action Online
Description
AI Literacy (AIL) frameworks are emerging as fast as new AI tools. It's hard to know where to start to support AIL. This workshop introduces various AIL frameworks. Learners will use them to create AIL learning outcomes and activities for their communities. This workshop is for people already familiar with AI. Not there yet? Watch the MLS Member Webinar AI for Library Workers: The Very Basics.
Learning Outcomes
After completing this workshop, learners will be able to:
- Describe key characteristics of at least one current AI literacy framework.
- Identify one or more AI literacy needs or outcomes relevant to their library community.
- Generate ideas for a program, class, or resource that supports AI literacy in their library.
