WMLA Advocacy Coffee Hour - Advocacy at the Local Level In-Person
Join the Western MA Library Advocates for an informal discussion of advocacy for your library at the local level. Stockbridge Library Association Director Wendy Pearson will be joined by her Town Administrator, the Director of the Council on Aging, and the Chair of the Parks & Rec. Commission. They will discuss working collaboratively with town officials to build long-term support for the library and to strengthen the community.
The speaking portion of the meeting will be followed by Q&A and time for participant discussion on a range of topics of interest to the group.
Community and Advocacy are partners in building coalitions of groups and individuals for the benefit of institutions and organizations. This year, WMLA (the Western Massachusetts Library Advocates) is organizing a series of geographically located library gatherings to promote both. Attendees are encouraged to bring their questions and issues for a free ranging discussion. Registration for the meeting is necessary; preference will be given to WMLA members, but all are welcome.
Please join us and meet colleagues and other advocates for libraries in western Massachusetts. The Stockbridge Library is located at 46 Main Street, Stockbridge MA. Phone: (413)298-5501
