Advanced Juggling: the time management / project management workshop

Advanced Juggling: the time management / project management workshop In-Person

Invest in yourself, your library, and your future by attending this full day time and project management workshop. We'll spend the morning focusing on realistic time management practices that will keep you on top of your appointments, commitments, and obligations. We'll review tools and techniques you can use to manage people and projects confidently and effectively. After lunch we'll switch gears to focus on project management principles. We will apply what we learn to draft a project management plan for one of your very own projects. By the end of the day, we will have figuratively disassembled your life, and put it back together faster, leaner, and more effective than when we started.

Those who have attended our previous time management class "Keep Calm & Manage On" (KC&MO) will find the morning to be familiar territory as this class is an expansion. Those who have attended KC&MO are invited to consider this new offering as your refresher class. MLS encourages repeats of this class (it's not something one masters in one day).

Here's what your colleagues have to say about this offering:
"At work and at home, the Keep Calm & Manage On workshop has helped me to find renewed motivation to Get. Things. Done. Anna shows you how to break down that overwhelming To Do list and turn it into a Can Do list. Absolutely recommend for any busy professional - especially if you think you don't have enough time to attend!" Sarah Goldberg, Jackson Homestead & Museum

Please note:
Your brain doesn't stop thinking about your personal obligations just because you're at work. Likewise, you've probably thought about work while you were on personal time. As such, this workshop will cover all aspects of your life. Some time management exercises will involve your personal life. Learners are not expected to share any personal information, all of your info will stay private. Project management exercises will be limited to library related matters.

Learners will be on their own for lunch. Downtown Northampton offers a variety of restaurants sure to satisfy any palate or dietary need. The MLS refrigerator and microwave will be available to attendees to store and prepare meals and snacks. Please note there are no on-site dining options at MLS Northampton.
