Census 2020 and MA Libraries

Census 2020 and MA Libraries In-Person

The decennial census is coming up in 2020, and libraries will be essential partners in ensuring a complete count by providing access to technology, being a trusted information provider, and established community partner. This webinar will introduce you to the Statewide Complete Count Committee, who are working with a broad coalition of groups to increase awareness about and motivate residents to respond to the 2020 Federal Census.

Learn what a complete count committee is and how to get involved with a local committee. Hear from a Census Bureau Partnership Specialist, whose job is to develop specific strategies to eliminate enumeration barriers in specific regions in support of the Decennial Census. They will also talk about what makes the Census 2020 so unique.

Speakers:
Maura Deedy, Library Advisory Specialist, MBLC
Vatsady Sivongxay, Statewide Complete Count Committee Coordinator
Ray Bennett, Senior Partnership Specialist, Census Bureau
