Books and Literacy Tips for Toddlers

Books and Literacy Tips for Toddlers

This webinar is for anyone who works with toddlers. There will be brief information on brain research, followed by developmental characteristics of toddlers and why considerations of ages and stages are important in book selection and program planning. Recommended types of books will be suggested and early literacy tips to emphasize at storytimes based on the five practices of the “Every Child Ready to Read” Project will be highlighted. Presenter: Sue McCleaf Nespeca, Kid Lit Plus Consulting has presented over 500 workshops/trainings around the US on topics related to children’s literature and early and family literacy. As one of the original five trainers for the first edition of the “Every Child Ready to Read” Project and also a trainer for the second edition, she moderates the project’s Facebook page.
