Our June meeting is an online discussion of Travel Nonfiction. The Benchmark title is William Least Heat-Moon’s Here, There, Elsewhere:  Stories from the road.   Least Heat-Moon is well known for his travels in North America, in this collection of essays he expands 30 years of travel to include local columns as well as more distant locales like Japan, New Zealand, Wales and Italy.  From Library Journal:  “VERDICT Least Heat-Moon is truly one of this nation's best travel writers, if not the best. We all read the benchmark(s) plus another title of our own selection, discuss the titles' individual appeals and ways of using these titles with our readers, and go home with information about the genre and 10 - 20 titles we now know something about.
