Join us for an online discussion of Genre Blends, what they are and how to recognize them. Benchmark titles are Steve Hockensmith’s Holmes on the Range and/or Stacey Lee’s Under a Painted Sky.  We think you will enjoy reading these titles that successfully combine more than one genre and appeal to a wide variety of readers.  We will also be discussing the topics we want to study throughout the rest of the year.  Make sure we hear your preferences.

The format of our online discussions mirrors our in person ones.  We all read the benchmark(s) plus another title of our own selection, discuss the titles' individual appeals and ways of using these titles with our readers, and leave the meeting with information about the genre and 10 - 20 titles we now know something about.
