Readers' Advisory Roundtable - West, Genre Study Lady Centric Thrillers In-Person
THIS ROUND TABLE HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO APRIL 13 TO AVOID A CONFLICT WITH THE WESTERN MASS. SESSION OF LIBRARY LEGISLATIVE DAY WHICH IS HAPPENING VIRTUALLY ON APRIL 6. Please participate in Legislative Day, and we hope to see you at the Round Table April 13.
Join the Reader’s Advisory Round Table of Western MA genre study for a discussion of Lady Centric Thrillers. We will explore this thriller subset, meet new titles, and discuss how to use them to meet the reading needs of our users. We are meeting via jitsi to talk about the appeal of ladies as leading characters in thriller, the readers who may enjoy them, and ways to incorporate them into our readers’ advisory services. Our benchmark title for this session is A.J. Waines Girl on a Train. We all read the benchmark, then a second title in the genre as our personal selection, then discuss them and their characteristics.
For questions or suggestions, contact Jan Resnick (njrezz@comcast.net) or Alene Moroni (amoroni@forbeslibrary.org).
In the between months, we share what we are reading/viewing/listening to in our book chat discussions. Join us for conversation, edification, and an opportunity to share reading/viewing/listening suggestions.
