Please pick a second title to discuss. There is a list of suggestions on our website.
The meeting will be conducted via Zoom. Be prepared to discuss appeal factors for those titles and the subgenre as a whole.
Appeal factors to watch out for: Language (descriptive, lyrical, blunt, etc.), Character (flawed, quirky, unreliable, etc.), Storyline/Plot (action-driven, character-driven, etc.), Pace (fast, leisurely, uneven, etc.), Tone/Mood (bleak, funny, gritty, heartwarming, etc.), Frame/Setting (urban, rural, time period, world building, etc.)
If you have any questions please visit our website or contact Allison Smith (asmith@minlib.net) or Christine Muir (cmuir@dracutlibrary.org).
