Readers' Advisory Roundtable - West, Genre Study: Realistic teen fiction In-Person
Join the Reader’s Advisory Round Table – West genre study for a discussion of realistic teen fiction. We will explore this genre, meet new titles, and discuss how to use them to meet the reading interests of our users. We are meeting via jitsi to talk about the appeal of these titles, the readers who may enjoy them, and ways to incorporate them into our readers’ advisory services. Our benchmark title for this session is Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo
In our format, we all read the benchmark, then a second title in the genre as our individual choice. Our discussion includes our reactions and thoughts on the benchmark title, perceptions of our individual selections, and their shared characteristics.
